The guest appearance by the globally-celebrated pianist and conductor Stefan Vladar with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra in Überlingen’s Franziskaner Church as part of the Bodensee Festival will leave a lasting impression with the audience. The virtuoso sparkled not only in his dual role in Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto, but also the „Rhenish“ Symphony was a stirring contribution to Überlingen’s Schumann year.
While the audience applauded enthusiastically at the end of the concert, Cornelia Nagel, in traditional dress, presented Stefan Vladar with a gift of wine, which he immediately passed on to his concertmaster. The concert was recorded by the Südwestrundfunk and will be heard on SWR 2 in its full length. Translation by John Allan Moffatt. To the concert : Bodensee-Festival I - Überlingen |
