Louise Foor

In 2017, Louise Foor obtained her bachelor’s degree in opera singing at the IMEP (Namur). The same year, she won the prize for “best young performer “at the international competition “Haricléa Darclée” in Romania. In 2018, she participates to other international competitions in Germany (Immling), Austria (Graz) and Italy (Portofino) where she won respectively the prize for the new female hope, the 2nd prize and the soprano prize and finally the prize for the best singer under 25 years old.


In 2019, she received the 2nd prize at the international opera competition in Namur. She was also accepted at the “Hochschule Hanns Eisler für Musik” in Berlin. In 2020, she has the pleasure of making  her debut at the “Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège” and to join the “MM Laureate” of La Monnaie/De Munt in Brussels.


In September 2020, she won the 1st prize at the international competition “Virgilijus Noreika” in Vilnius (Lithuania). In 2022 she had the pleasure of making her debut at LaMonnaie/De Munt in the production of “Carmen” as Frasquita.


Since September 2020, she is an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the direction of José van Dam and Sophie Koch.
