Biografie

Hector Berlioz (1803-1869) was a French composer known for his innovative compositions and his role in Romantic music. Born on December 11, 1803, in La Côte-Saint-André, Berlioz showed an early interest in music, despite his father's wishes for him to study medicine. He moved to Paris to study at the Conservatory and soon developed a unique musical style.

His most famous work, "Symphonie fantastique," is a groundbreaking piece known for its extraordinary orchestration and programmatic structure. Berlioz was also an important music critic and theorist, whose writings on music significantly contributed to the understanding of the Romantic era.
