TIBERIU SOARE, one of the most important Romanian conductors of the moment, has been active as a conductor since 1999, garnering not only the audiencesâ appreciation but also the unanimous praise of music critics. He has conducted many philharmonic orchestras and the opera houses orchestras all over Romania and he has been invited to conduct in Sweden, France, Great Britain, Israel, China, Germany, Switzerland etc. Since 2012 and until May 2015 he was the principal conductor of the Romanian Radio Orchestras and Choirs and between 2005 and 2013 he was an appreciated conductor of the Bucharest National Opera.
A large range of musical works characterizes Tiberiu Soareâs career: although he mainly dedicated his activity to symphonic music, opera and ballet, he was also extremely appreciated in special projects covering different musical styles and genres, such as âMozart Rocksâ, a Romanian event that combines classical and contemporary music.Â
He conducted the Romanian Radio National Orchestra in numerous concerts, special events and recordings. In September 2014 he conducted two concerts of the Romanian Radio National Orchestra within the World Summit on Media for Children held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), an event presented in the concert hall of the Petronas Towers and broadcasted by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In 2010, Tiberiu Soare conducted the Romanian ensemble in a concert presented as part of the Romanian participation at the Shanghai World Exhibition. He returned in China in May 2013, when under his baton the Romanian Radio National Orchestra performed at the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival.
Another success together with the Romanian orchestra was marked by the participation in the International Music Festival in Varna (Bulgaria), in 2011. He also conducted the ensemble on the Bulgarian Black Sea shore in July 2013, when a Mozart concert was presented within the Balchik Classic Days Festival.
In September 2010 he was invited to conduct his first concert with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and with the great soprano Angela Gheorghiu. Under his baton the SĂŒdwestfĂ€lischen Philharmonie performed at the Essen Philharmonic Hall in Germany and the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Orchestra performed in Muscat (the capital of Oman).
One of his latest international successes is the concert conducted at the Royal Festival Hall, in London - May 2013, together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Angela Gheorghiu and Teodor IlincÄi. Besides his rich activity at the Radio Concert Hall (Bucharest) and in other important concert halls and opera houses in Romania, in 2013 Tiberiu Soare conducted abroad, together with Angela Gheorghiu, in Prague (Smetana Hall Prague), Munich (Philharmonie Munich) and Paris (Opera Royal de Versailles).Â
Recently, Tiberiu Soare was also highly appreciated in Germany, where he conducted the Hof Symphoniker Orchester in an exquisite opera gala starring the great opera singer Angela Gheorghiu. The event took place in Regensburg (Bavaria, Germany) - on July 27th 2014 - within the Schlossfestspiele (The Castle Festival). In November 2014, within the artistic collaboration with Angela Gheorghiu, Tiberiu Soare conducted three concerts in famous European concert halls: Théùtre des Champs-ElysĂ©es - Paris, Musikverein - Graz, Concertgebouw â Amsterdam. He was also highly appreciated when conducting the SaarbrĂŒcken Symphonic Orchestra for the New Yearâs Eve Gala Concert starring Angela Gheorghiu, in Baden-Baden (Festspielhaus Hall) â December 31st 2014.
Between 2005 â 2013, Tiberiu Soare conducted many performances and numerous opening nights and co-ordinated various projects being one of the most active and appreciated artists of the Bucharest National Opera.
Tiberiu Soare graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest (Romania) and attended afterwards both several masterclasses presented by important Romanian and foreign conductors and composition courses. Between 2002 â 2006 he also worked as a teacher within the National University of Music in Bucharest, sharing his experience together with the students of the Chamber Music and Opera specialisations.Â
Several prizes were awarded to Tiberiu Soare, such as the Music Criticsâ Prize in 2003 for the âTraviata â 150 yearsâ project and the Romanian Artistsâ Union Prize in 2011 for the âOedipeâ (by George Enescu) premiere at the Bucharest National Opera, within the âGeorge Enescuâ International Festival.Â
