Biografie
Marie Jacquot was born in 1990 in Paris. She studied the trombone at “Conservatoire National Régional de Paris » where she received her Bachelor's degree in 2008. During this year she had the opportunity to play with several orchestras such as Simon Bolivar Orchestra and “l’Orchestre Symphonique d’Ile de France”. She began to study conducting at the age of 14 with Roberto Gatto where she conducted many concerts with conservatory orchestra of Chartres. At the same time she conducted the Racine High school orchestra of Paris, with which she had the opportunity to perform at Radio France’s House.
In 2008 she was admitted to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna to deepen her knowledge in the orchestral conducting with Prof. Uros Lajovic. She participated actively in Masterclass of Ralf Weikert, Bertrand de Billy, Zubin Mehta and others conductors, with the “Wiener Kammerorchester” She is also interested in the music of the XXIth century and collaborates with the composition classes of the academy and the Platypus Ensemble of Vienna to encourage young composers to develop their music.
In June 2012 she dedicated 3 months to the Mauritius Island as an opera coach and conducting assistant to perform 6 representations of "La Traviata" of Verdi with the Tenor Alexandru Badea and the Baritone Markus Brück. In November she conducted the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra during the "Festival Young Talents" of Bulgaria and in March Polish Baltic Philharmonic.
In July 2013 she was Assistant of the conductor Peter Rundel for a Production of Karlheinz Stockhausen “Michael Reise um die Erde” at the Avery Fisher Hall, for the Lincoln Center Festical, with the Ensemble musikFabrik of Köln. In cooperation with the Ernst Krenek institute in Krems, she conducted in January two concerts in Krems (Monastery UND) and in Vienna (MuTh – Concert Hall of the Vienna Boys Choir) with awarded Composition’s Prizes of the first Ernst Krenek competition. In June 2014 she graduated with the age of 24 years old, and conducted the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra in the Musikverein’s Golden Hall of Vienna, an event which marked her entry into the Austrian music scene.
