Biografie
Mezzosoprano- Anna Marshania was born in 1991 in Sukhumi (Abkhazia), former USSR. She studied with Olga Mironova at the Faculty of Music Theater of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts GITIS in Moscow, where she graduated in 2013.
During this time she performed in several productions including Weinberg’s The Idiot in the role of Yepanchina and Menotti’s The Medium in the title role Madame Flora.
After her graduation Anna Marshania started working with Kasrashvili Makvala, soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre.
In 2013 Anna became member of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center in Moscow where she participated in the productions of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov and Bizet’s Carmen as well as in the Opera Center’s many concerts.
In 2014 she became part of a delegation of Russian Young Opera Singers performing concerts at the Wiener Kammeroper in Vienna and the Staatsoper Berlin. In the summer of 2014, she became the winner of the International Opera Arias Competition «Opera Ducha Gór», Karpacz, in Poland.
In 2014 as well she was finalist at the “Concours International de Belcanto – Vincenzo Bellini” in Paris, France. In the summer of 2015 Anna Marshania became the winner of the International Voice Competition “Hariclea Darclee” in Braila, Rumania.
Since 2016 Anna Marshania is studied her Master’s degree at the Wiener Konservatorium Privatuniversität.
From the seasons 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 she will be a part of the Theater an der Wien’s Junges Ensemble.
