Biografie
The Austrian bassist Florian Köfler first studied tuba and played in several orchestras. As part of his vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, he has been heard as Figaro in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and as Masetto and Leporello in Don Giovanni. He guested in 2014 as Monterone in Verdi's Rigoletto at the Regensburg Theater, to whose ensemble he belonged from 2015. There he sang in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Handel's Saul and Britten's The Little Sweep.
Since the 2016/17 season, he has been a member of the Junges Ensemble desTheater an der Wien and has been heard in Verdi's La Traviata, Handel's Oreste, Salieri's La Scuola de'gelosi and most recently in the title role of Donizetti's Don Pasquale. This season he will sing in Mozart's Così fan tutte Don Alfonso. In the Theater an der Wien, he takes over the role of the policeman from a visit to the old lady.
