Berio Hall
With the new series “Prime Time”, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and its Permanent Guest Conductor Joji Hattori take up the idea of offering a performance platform to young musicians who have succeeded in renowned international music competitions. On three evenings, during “Prime Time”, they present young soloists - this time Dmitry Masleev, Félix Dervaux and Dominik Wagner - and combine their performances with interesting original compositions and arrangements for chamber orchestra.
At the same time, the new “Prime Time” format offers the Viennese audience a new, lively and especially communicative kind of music enjoyment. The Berio Hall, with a stage in the centre, provides the perfect setting with the atmosphere of a home concert in which music cannot only be played, but also improvised and even discussions held with the public. Joji Hattori orients his conception on Schönbergʼs “Verein für musikalische
Privataufführungen” (Association for Private Musical Performances).
