Johannes Vogel
Biography
Johannes Vogel was born in Vienna. He was educated at the University of Music in Vienna, then he worked with orchestras like the Vienna Stateopera, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Opera Zurich, the Bavarian Stateopera and others.
He had collaboration with Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haitink, Lorin Maazel, Christoph v. Dohnany, Riccardo Muti, Michael Gielen, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Thomas Hengelbrock, Christopher Hogwood, Adam Fischer, James Levine, Andre Previn, Franz Welser-Möst, Carlo Maria Giulini, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Boulez, Georg Solti, Leonard Bernstein and Carlos Kleiber.
Presently, he works as a film-music-composer/producer and conductor.
Recent works include „Mama“, „Mariah Mundi“, „The Impossible“ as well as the MGM/Paramount-production „Hercules“ with Dwayne Johnson and director Brett Ratner. Furthermore Guillermo del Toro’s „Crimson Peak“ with Jessica Jastain and Tom Hiddlestone and „A Monster Calls“.
Moreover, Johannes Vogel constantly works with orchestras like the Philharmonia London, the Brussels Radio-Orchestra, the Budapest Radio-Orchestra, the Vienna Radio RSO Vienna and the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra (Bratislava).
Since 2016 he has been the Principal Conductor of the Synchron Stage Vienna.
