Matinee-Cycle 2023/24

Jan Willem de Vriend is taking up the position of chief conductor of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the beginning of the season - the collaboration has already proven itself highly effecitve in two projects in the past as part of the cycle "Symphonie Classique".

The founder and long-time director of the Combattimento Consort Amsterdam conducts three of the seven matinees.

The cycle programme is therefore predominantly classical and baroque, yet does in not shy away from excursions into modernism and romanticism. The  orchestra's successful collaboration with the Vienna Boys Choir and Gerald Wirth as well as with the Janoska Ensemble is continued once more.
