Jonas Rudner

Biography
Jonas Rudner was born in 1982 in Hallein, Salzburg, In 2007 he was appointed Principal Horn of the Tonkünstler Orchester Niederösterreich. His musical journey began at the age of 5 where he started playing the piano, after a short excursion to the flute with prof. Wolfgang Schulz at the age of 10 he started playing the Vienna Horn under the tutelage of Günter Högner in the year 1996. He later continued his studies with Volker Altmann at the Vienna Conservatory and then at the University for music in vienna with Roland Berger and Thomas Jöbstl. Meanwhile he regularly performs with orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra or the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore he appeared at the Australian Chamber Orchestra the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra just to name a few. His passion for chamber music led to numerous performances around the world with the “Baole Quintet” and the participation in groups such as the “Vienna Horns” and Martin Grubingers “Percussive Planet”.
