Biography
Luka Ljubas
Born in Vienna in 1996 , in 2001 received his first violin lessons from his mother and then with Prof. A. Vinokourov in Vienna. In 2006, he begins at the Carinthian State Conservatory in the class of Prof. Brian Finlayson . At the same Luka started in 2012 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Prof. Gerhard Schulz.
Participation in several violin classes with renowned educators , including Prof. Igor Ozim , Prof. Eszter Haffner, Prof. Gerhard Schulz, Prof. Pavel Vernikov ...
First prizes at several competitions including " Jugend musizert / Prima la musica " at ( state and national competitions) with special price ,of the Carinthian State Conservatory.
Even abroad, Luka was very successful , most recently in Italy, where he celebrated two achievements at an international competition :
- in the category " INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION PREMIO CITTA DI PADOVA " for strings - the 1st prize ,
- in the category " INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION FOR SOLOIST WITH ORCHESTRA" for musicians 16-40 years for all instruments - the
approval for the final on 16 February 2013 with symphony orchestra. Out of more than 50 candidates Luka won the day and competed with three other musicians in the final, where he won the 1st Price with Tchaikovsky 's Violin Concerto in D Major.
Luka has made numerous appearances in Austria , especially in Vienna , Styria and Carinthia , including as soloist with the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra ( Wieniawski Violin Concerto in D minor ) , the Schoenbrunner Schlossorchester Wien ( Mozart Violin Concerto in A major ), with " Academia Ars Musicae " ( Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor ), in " Young.Stars " in Carinthia, in "Junge Künstler " in Ossiach and countless ORF matinees .
His artistic career took him on many international stages , such as in the summer of 2013 in Artsakh Festival in Nagorno- Karabakh ( Mozart Violin Concerto in D major and several solo recitals , recitals and chamber music concerts). Several concerts in Italy (Padova , Venice, Abano , Rome ...) and also in Abu Dhabi he was already active .
Since June 2012 Luka plays , thanks to strong support from the Viennese violin maker CHRISTINE ERIKS on a FELIX MORI COSTA from the year 1812. Because the violin is only borrowed , Luka is still looking for a sponsor.
