Reading with Orchestra and Choir

Mendelssohn‘s romantic music played by the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Shakespeare’s fantastic play read by Sigrid Hauser, moving lullabies sung by the Philharmonia Chor, the whole thing conducted by Stefan Vladar – it could have been so beautiful: high art in GLOBE WIEN.

If it only weren’t for the weaver Nick Bottom (Michael Niavarani), who messes up the evening with his broad humour and simple-mindedness. What’s going on? He claims to have been turned into a donkey and then a fairy queen fell in love with him and slept with him!
Sex, drugs (a flower whose dewdrops are a love potion), elves, goblins, lovers, the tragedy of Pyramus and Thisbe and a custody battle, live in GLOBE WIEN.
