The Vienna Chamber Orchestra knows how to excite the enthusiasm of its audience through rich variety: the programme ranges from Baroque splendour as in Haendel's musical Fireworks through highlights of Viennese classic (among others, with Beethoven's Fifth, the "Fate" Symphony) up to classical modernity, for example, Korngold's "Symphonie Serenade". Leading the orchestra with their batons are - next to principal conductor Stefan Vladar - guests, well known to the listeners, like Joji Hattori, Ola Rudner and original sound specialist Reinhard Goebel. They embark on auspicious journeys through music history, ready to encounter Jedermann (Everyman - in Frank Martin's Jedermann Monologues, sung by Bo Skovhus) or Don Juan (in Luigi Boccherini's La casa del diavolo). Sophie Karthäuser adds highly dramatic accents with Telemann's monodramatic cantata "Ino".
