Matinee Series 2018/19

A journey through 240 years of music history is undertaken by the Vienna Chamber Orchestra: This time span lies between Haydn's "Farewell Symphony" and Vasks "Vox Amoris".

With the Philharmonia Choir Vienna, the singers Daniela Fally and Sophie Rennert as well as the cabaret artists Michael Niavarani, the orchestra presents at the begin Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream". The main emphasis, however, is on symphonies and concerts, which, among others, give Pavel Milyukov and "great talent" Ziyu He a soloist's brilliance.

Traditionally the Vienna Chamber Orchestra was many times conducted by soloists in a dual role. In the current season the pianists Stefan Vladar and Philippe Entremont as well as the violinists Joji Hattori and Hugo Ticciati will take the baton in their hands in addition to their appearance as instrumentalists.
