Minsoo Ahn Baritone

Minsoo Ahn was born in 1985 in Daegu, South Korea. He received his first singing lessons at the age of 17. Already in his teens he was winner of singing competitions in his home country.

Since 2009 he is studying at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität with Gabriele Sima and later with Wolfgang Dosch, Niels Muus and Helga Wagner. 2014 he won the Fidelio Competition in Vienna. He was finalist at the Osaka International Music Competition and at the international competition “Giangiacomo Guelfi” in Bozen.

In Strawinskis The Rake’s Progress as “Nick Shadow” he gathered artistic experiences and performed as a soloist in Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen by Gustav Mahler in Ostrava, Czech Republic at the Festival Klangspuren and at the Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic in the opera Cosi fan tutte as “Don Alfonso” in Salzburg, Linz, Graz and Vienna.

Since 2015 he is working very intensive with Prof. Gerhard Kahry.
